CONTEST #1:
We are seeking a
new logo for the Auxiliary M-Department.
Marine Safety as a Department in the Auxiliary
is growing and changing. The historic USCG
Marine Safety logo has been used to date, but we
would like to have a more modern and updated
look. The new logo should attempt to
embody our Mission. Some thoughts to help
you in your design. Areas of focus are
Inspections, Port Safety, Marine Environment,
Education and Outreach, and Aids to Navigation
to name a few. The Trident is an important
image for both USCG Marine Safety Technician and
the Auxiliary Marine Safety Programs.
Submit your original
full color designs in high resolution GIF, JPEG, or TIFF
format to BC-MOI@auxmdept.org

CONTEST #2:
With the new
look being planned we are seeking some dramatic photographs
to use. Photos should meet Auxiliary standards, and
tell the Auxiliary Marine Safety Story with a minimum
caption. Content can be any M Department area,
including the Marine Environment we protect, and our work in
assisting USCG Active Duty and Reserve in their M Department
Missions. With your submissions please include a brief
description of the scene and names of persons in the scene,
your name and photographic information for attribution (i.e.
shutter speed, aperture, ISO, lens focal length etc).
Before photographs containing recognizable images of
individuals may be accepted, a standard photographic release
signed by those individuals may be required before
acceptance.
Submit your original
full color photos in high resolution JPEG format to
BC-MOI@auxmdept.org
Note:
A limited capacity to accept RAW Format photos is available,
but our software does not accept all formats. We will
accommodate raw format as much as possible
All material
submitted and accepted for use will become the sole
intellectual property of the USCG Auxiliary, and Coast Guard
Auxiliary Association. Decision to use material
submitted is solely at the discretion of M-Dept Staff, whose
